Ray Jacob (1928-2010) oil on board of Ducks and Ducklings

American post war painter Ray Jacob is best known for his farmscapes where ducks and chickens are often depicted enjoying an idyllic habitat. This piece here in original gilt frame is a wonderful example of the artist’s mastery of creating a scene of contentment, far removed from the noise of modern living. 

*About the condition of the piece: The original gilt wood frame is not completely intact with some minor damage to the upper and lower parts of the frame.
